
I have rediscovered how much fun pastels are and how it makes automatic drawing a bit more rewarding. Here are some of the more decent drawings I’ve finished. Right now it’s nice to turn off the brain and not really think about what you’re drawing.

I was sitting outside when I saw a constellation that reminded me of the Phoenix lights. I knew I had to try making it into a print. When I was younger, I remember lying on my friend’s trampoline and seeing a Flying V formation of lights fly over us. Sometime later, I overheard the adults talking about lights over the city. The lights I saw didn’t match the Phoenix lights that others have described. What I saw was high up and was followed by a single aircraft. I wonder what I saw and what was spotted over Phoenix that night. A real craft or flares?

I also learned my neglected tortilla press is a great way to improve my prints until I can make a dedicated press. It took a few tries to find out that the best place on the press is closest to the hinge. Then again, I am printing on a stack of post it notes. I’m […]
