Sometimes I’m very lucky and see some incredible birds while sitting in my backyard. Recently I was lucky enough to have these two beauties fly over me and land on a nearby telephone pole. The sounds of their wings cutting through the air is magnificent. One thing that was interesting was how quiet it was while they perched on that pole. I definitely wouldn’t want them to see me if I was a lil bird.
Now that it’s been “cooling off”, I’ve been spending time in my backyard. This morning I enjoyed my coffee while a curved bill thrasher watched from the palo verde. Drawing birds, not easy.
I feel like the kitchen window sill is such a great place for plants. I used to have plants in my kitchen window sill but their time had come. Thanks Brian for sending your sink in!
Even though I’ve been to Boston, I couldn’t remember if they had normal sinks over there. Thankfully my brother put this question to rest.

We’ve been taking advantage of the cooler mornings by spending it outside in the shade. It sucks that we’ve been forecasted a warm dry winter.
